On a sunny and mild, though rather windy, day in March, the FCHS Jaguars started the season off with a victory against Mt. Vernon. The match was neck and neck until the end. In singles Quinn Bailey (10-1), Jonah Angeles (10-6), and Peter Nguyen (10-5) each brought a win. Our number three doubles team (Richard Lam/Peter Nguyen) quickly got the win (10-4). The match was tied 4-4, and the outcome depended on our number two doubles team (Jonah Angeles/Julio Villaroel). In a long and extremely close match, Jonah and Julio pulled out the win (11-9).
In our exhibition matches, the boys did great.
Dan Folescu won two separate singles matches 6-0, 6-0.
Kyungwon Park made his debut in singles winning two games, 2-6.
