The boy’s score against Mt. Vernon was not an indicator of how close the match was. With senior Sean Kelley out of the match due to illness, senior Jeric Abriam stepped up and put out a valiant effort in his singles and doubles match. With team captain Chris Moy and Liuzhi Zhang winning their singles match it all came down to the doubles matches.

Number one doubles Chris M. and Corey Ehle were in a seesaw battle but were able to stay on top of their opponents in the end. Number two doubles Kevin Pacheco and Jeric A. took some time to learn their opponents and quickly went down 0-5. Slowly but surely they guys fought back to 7-8, but their efforts wasn’t enough to take the win. Number three doubles, Bao Tran and Liuzhi Zhang, were also in a constant seesaw match playing hard and making some amazing plays. Sadly, the guys couldn’t pull out a win in the tiebreaker losing 10-11.

The guys have a lot of reasons to walk away with their heads held high and look forward to their rematch a home later in the season.
