Falls Church High School Athletics is very excited to name Matthew Smith their new Head Cross Country Coach. Coach Smith has been coaching XC/track and field around the world for the last 20 years mostly in Europe. He is a former Division I Cross Country All American out of the University of Michigan. He has coached all levels of runners from middle school, high school, and college. He enjoys coaching both new runners and high-level runners. His teams have won 29 European Championships in XC/Track and Field be and he has coached individual national champions from Belgium, Netherlands, and the USA. The Activities Department looks forward to Coach Smith leveraging his experience as an athlete and coach to build upon the recent success of the cross country program. Welcom Coach Smith!
