Huge Congratulations to our State Finalists for outstanding performances this weekend in Virginia Beach!
Nicolas Dewolfe placed 2ndin the Pole Vaultwith a 13'0" vault. His previous best was 11'6" and he rose to the occasion. He almost won the state title with both athletes clearing 13'0" and both missing at 13'6". The score went to misses and Nic missed 2 times at 13'0" and the other competitor only once. Congratulations Nicolas!
Haley Heironimus placed 10thin the 3200m with her 3rd fastest time ever in 11:33. The race was a more tactical race with a group of girls that slowed the pace and then kicked in the final few laps. Haley competed with guts and gave it her all.
Spencer Torok had a NH at 11'0" but almost had a big PR for the day! He competed very courageously. Look to see him back at states again.
