On the 2nd day of National District competiton at Edison High School, Riley Louden once again performed well. Adding to her medals in the pole vault and 4x800m relay, Riley placed 2nd overall in the open 800m run to become district runner up in that event. Before she even had a chance to relax after crossing the finish line, she had to walk right over to the start of the 200m dash for the 200m dash finals where she sprinted to a 6th place medal. Riley qualified for a total of 4 events to advance to regionals in. After the 200m Dash, Kim Bruyette had an impressive 3rd place finish in the 3200m run. She ran a season best 12 minutes and 12 seconds in that event. Senior Amber Harper threw a personal best in the girls' discus event to place 5th overall. These ladies will advance to the Northern Region championships to be held at Lake Braddock on May 21st and 22nd.
