Falls Church effort to come back from down seven runs in the fourth inning came up just short, as they fell 13-11 to Edison on Friday.
The Jags managed five runs in the failed comeback. Curran Gilster, Tryn Dunne, Emmitt James, Grant Hawley, and Michael Keefe powered the rally with RBIs.
Falls Church collected eight hits and Edison Eagles had 12 in the high-scoring affair.
After Edison scored four runs in the top of the fourth, Falls Church answered with four of their own when Dunne singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run, an error scored one run and Hawley singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Hawley started the game on the mound and he surrendered six runs on five hits over one and two-thirds innings, striking out two. Keefe and James entered the game from the bullpen, throwing three and two-thirds innings and one and two-thirds innings respectively.
Falls Church totaled eight hits with Hawley and Conor Glavin collecting multiple hits.
