The Lady Eagles preyed upon the Lady Jaguars at Edison High School tonight. Falls Church struggled on both sides of the ball. Defensively, the team gave up the most points in two years; offensively, the team turned the ball over more times than any Lady Jags team in at least three years.

The game started ugly for the green shirts as Falls Church fell behind 0-7 in seconds due to defensive lapses and two rapid-fire turnovers. Three minutes later the score was 13-4. Falls Church attempted a comeback by revving up its Three Machine. Leah Shaw and Sierra Kennard landed five consecutive Lady Jaguar baskets from beyond the arc to close the gap to 24-19 early in the second quarter. But then the Eagles soared on a 26-6 run for the rest of the half and the entire third quarter. Falls Church opened up for 13 points in the fourth quarter, but they failed to slow down Edison who outscored them by six in the final frame to win the game by 31 points. 

Few bright spots shone for Falls Church tonight. Freshman Amari Faust contributed four baskets in the loss. Sophomore Sierra Kennard swished her 11th three-pointer in just five games. Junior Leah Shaw landed three "3s" (she now has nine of them for the season) in the first quarter and finished the game with an impressive mix of rebounds, steals, blocked shots and assists. She also was the high scorer on the floor with her fourth game in double digits already this year. Coach Pritchett will look to her veterans for their experience and her newest players for their talent and potential in an attempt to even her team's conference record and overall season record in three days.
