The Lady Jaguars braved a chilly night on Thursday March 19th to open the 2015 Spring Season.  After a challenging first inning, the Jaguars settled down and staged a comeback with a combination of aggressive base running and timely hits.   Every player contributed to the win - it took a complete team effort to overcome a 9 run deficit.  The Falls Church Defense shut down the Mt. Vernon offense, keeping them from scoring a single run after the first inning.  Freshman Sarah Page came through with solid relief pitching while Madison Meinbresse proved a reliable backstop behind the plate and shortstop Olivia Stevenson played stellar defense and started a momentum-killing double play.  Offensively Taylor McCaffrey cracked a double to right field, spurring the offensive explosion.  Hawa Adawah and Sarah Page chimed in with two hits each.  Every Jaguar started scored at least one run en route to the team's first victory of the season.
