Jaguars scored nine runs in the third on its way to a victory over Wakefield on Tuesday. The offensive came from walks by Nate Moonis and Conor Glavin, singles by Carson Mayfield and Noah Strother, doubles by Quinn Padovani and Cameron Karicher, a groundout by Tyler James, and a fielder's choice by Ryan Doherty.
Jaguars got things started in the first inning when James singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Mayfield was the winning pitcher for Jaguars. He surrendered one run on four hits over four and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking one. Grant Hawley threw one-third of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Jaguars collected 13 hits. Strother, Karicher, James, and Padovani each racked up multiple hits for Jaguars. Karicher and Strother each collected three hits to lead Jaguars.
Wakefield didn't commit a single error in the field. Lane had the most chances in the field with four.
