Falls Church edged Annandale 7-3 in a hard fought well played game Thursday night. The Jags opened up scoring in the first inning, when Tyler James singled on a 1-2 count, scoring Cam Karicher who had tripled.
The Jags scored four runs in the second inning. Noah Sedmak, James, and Matt Gutermuth, all knocked in runs in the inning.
Ryan Bailey led things off on the rubber for Falls Church and he allowed five hits and two runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out two. Sam Sanders (2 innings, 2 strikeouts, 1 run) and Wyatt Mayfield (1 1/3 innings, 1 strike out and no runs) came on in relief for the Jags.
James led Falls Church with three hits in four at bats.
