Varsity Baseball Drops Game to TJ

Falls Church fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 7-2 loss to Thomas Jefferson HS on Tuesday. Thomas Jefferson HS scored on a single by Max Lee and a double by Saketh Gabbita in the first inning.
Thomas Jefferson scored four runs in the fifth inning. Thomas Jefferson HS batters contributing to the big inning included Lee, Aiden Witeck, and Andrew Yoon, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Todd Hartman was on the mound for Thomas Jefferson and he surrendered one run on two hits over five innings, striking out nine.
Luke Strother started the game for Falls Church and he surrendered four runs on three hits over four and a third innings, striking out two. Ryan Bailey threw one and two-thirds innings out of the bullpen.
Noah Sedmak, Alex Bruning, and Cameron Karicher all had one hit to lead the Jaguars Falls Church tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases with Karicher leading the way with two steals.
