Varsity Baseball Falls to Edison

Monday's game against Edison HS was a heartbreaker for Falls Church, as they lost the lead late in a 4-3 defeat. The game was tied at two with Edison batting in the top of the fifth when Omar Ashraf doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.
In the first inning, the Jaguars got their offense started when Tyler James (1-4, 1 RBI) singled on a 1-0 count, scoring Cam Karicher (2-2, 2B, 3B, BB, HBP, 2 Runs) who had tripled.
Michael Plunkett got the start for Edison. He went three strong innings, allowing two runs on six hits and walking zero.
Noah Lazo got the start for Falls Church and He went three and two-thirds innings, allowing four hits and one run. Luke Strother and Cameron Karicher entered the game as relief, throwing two and a third innings and one inning respectively.
Edison tallied nine hits with Plunkett, John Durham, Gabriel Fetzer, and Eric Jones all having multiple hits for the Eagles.
Falls Church returns to the diamond on Friday hosting Wakefield at 6:30pm.
