Hi there! Welcome to the online home of the Falls Church High School 2020-2021 Cross Country Team! My name is Lauren Montieth, and it is an honor to serve as this season's Assistant XC Coach. I first joined the Jaguar family at the beginning of the Spring 2020 Track & Field season with the dual roles of Head Boys' Distance Coach and Assistant Girls' Distance Coach. I so enjoyed coaching and mentoring the Spring Jaguars that I couldn't envision leaving. 

Before coming to Falls Church High School, I started a private coaching practice here in Northern Virginia. I am a certified personal trainer credentialed by the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and a USA Track & Field Level 1 coach. I graduated cum laude from Phillips Academy Andover in 2014 and magna cum laude from Brown University in 2018 with a degree in Classics. I'm a big believer in the Latin motto "A healthy mind in a healthy body." 

Outside of coaching, I train as one of the nation's top amateur triathletes. I placed within the top ten in my age group at USA Triathlon Nationals in 2019 and qualified to represent the United States internationally in 2020-2021 as a new member of Team USA. It is a real pleasure to inspire and encourage our Jaguars as they blaze their own athletic and academic paths.
