Coach Robert Svestka returns to Falls Church High School for his second year as an assistant swim coach. Upon moving to Northern Virginia in 2000, Coach Robert began swimming for a summer team in the NVSL. A year and a half later, he joined the Mason Makos Swim Team. Coach Robert is a product of Fairfax County Public Schools, having graduated from Thomas Jefferson HSST in 2007, where he swam on the varsity team all four years. At Jefferson, he earned three varsity letters and was a team captain his senior year. Coach Robert began his professional coaching career as an assistant coach for Rolling Forest Swim Team, a team for which he also swam. He is currently in his second year as the Co-Head Coach for the Mount Vernon Country Club Winter Program and finished his first year as the Assistant Coach for Mount Vernon Country Club. Presently, Coach Robert is pursuing a bachelor's degree in economics from George Mason University, where he is swimmer on the University's club team. Most of his time, however, is spent volunteering for the American Cancer Society as the Event Accounting & Logistics Chair for the GMU Relay For Life.
